Hi, I’m Ian Garvey from the USA and I’m fundraising for Asmaa Tayseer in Gaza.
From Asmaa:
My name is Asmaa Tayseer, and I am a mother of seven children living in Gaza, doing everything I can to protect my family and provide for them despite the extremely difficult conditions we are facing.
I am raising seven children who depend on me for everything:
- Noor, 20 years old
- Sara, 18 years old
- Anwar, 16 years old
- Reem, 13 years old
- Omar, 6 years old
- And my twin sons, Anas and Ahmad, 5 years old
Each of them has needs, dreams, and a future that I am trying desperately to protect.
My daughters Noor and Sara worked very hard to reach university. Education has always been their hope for a better life and a way to support our family in the future. Today, we are struggling to afford their university tuition fees, and they are at risk of losing their education and their dreams.
In addition to that, Noor is suffering from serious eye problems and needs eye surgery. As a mother, it is heartbreaking to see my daughter in pain while knowing that I cannot afford the medical treatment she needs.
My younger children — Omar, Anas, and Ahmad — are still very young. Like all children, they need clothes, toys, school supplies, and a sense of a normal childhood. Under our current circumstances, even these simple things have become difficult to provide. They have many basic needs that I am struggling to meet, and it hurts me deeply to see them growing up without the things every child deserves.
This fundraiser was created to help my family survive and to give my children a chance at a safer and more stable life. The donations will be used for:
- Covering university tuition fees for Noor and Sara
- Helping pay for Noor’s eye surgery and medical treatment
- Providing clothes, school supplies, and basic necessities for my younger children
- Supporting our family with food and daily living expenses
Sadly, our home was destroyed, and we are currently living in a shelter for displaced families. Living in a shelter is extremely difficult, especially with young children who need a clean, safe, and stable environment. My biggest hope is to be able to leave the shelter and move my children to a cleaner and safer place where they can live with dignity and have a more secure future.
I am doing everything I can as a mother, but I cannot do this alone. Every donation, no matter how small, helps ease our burden and gives my children hope that their future is not lost.
If you are unable to donate, simply sharing our story can help us reach someone who may be able to support us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me and my children during this incredibly difficult time.
