Adam was my younger brother, and he recently passed away, leaving behind his loving wife and children. His family is now facing the unimaginable challenge of moving forward on a single income, while grieving the loss of a devoted husband and father. Adam was always the kind of person who put others first—he once saved a young girl at work from being crushed by a 2,700 lb cart of mail, risking his own safety in the process. Tragically, he was injured during that act of bravery and was laid off because he could no longer work. He had been applying for disability, but passed away before his family could receive any compensation for his injury.

Now, Adam’s family is left to manage not only their grief, but also the mounting costs of medical bills from the ambulance and emergency workers, funeral expenses, and the everyday bills that keep a household running. The mortgage and other necessities are a constant worry, and the loss of Adam’s income has made things even more difficult. Through all of this, his wife and children have shown incredible strength, but they need support from their community to help them find stability and hope for the future.
