Hi! My name is Emily and I’m on a mission to pick up 1 million pieces of trash! Since March 20, 2024, I’ve cleaned up around 600,000 pieces of litter and counting! I clean up around parks, beaches, places of worship, schools, neighborhoods, businesses, streets, and everything in between!

I started this project following a car accident in January 2024, where I herniated six discs in my spine and totaled my vehicle. I then bought a used vehicle that has had nothing but continuous problems: blown tires, engine failure, broken tire pressure sensors, broken brake sensors, malfunctioning windows, and finally, a broken alternator, leaving my car dead.

I work as a substitute teacher and a tutor, which aren’t the most lucrative professions, and I do all of my cleaning in my free time, making videos for social media. I would love to expand beyond just where I live. My goal is to see a cleaner world and encourage others to pick up, even if it isn’t their mess. However, I can’t do this project without reliable transportation. Jacksonville is a large city, and not walker friendly.

Donations would greatly help me continue this project and expand to new projects in the future! I have had to purchase a new (used) vehicle following my accident so I can get to and from work, as well as continue my mission of cleaning my community, which took almost all of my savings. Anything would greatly help!
