On December 10th, my brother David (Robert) Wells was involved in a serious motorcycle (scooter) accident that left him with severe injuries. He dislocated his left elbow and broke two bones at the elbow. That night, doctors were able to relocate his elbow, but he faces a long road ahead. David's ulna will need a plate and screws, and his radius is so badly damaged it will need to be replaced. There was also significant ligament damage, and he suffered burns on both knees. Even after his initial surgery, which is scheduled for December 22, doctors have warned that his elbow may not be stable and he could require additional surgeries in the future. Since the accident, David has had to return to the ER twice due to bleeding from his fracture, and our family is paying all his medical expenses out of pocket while we search for legal representation.
David is a caring, selfless person who has always been a rock for our family during medical emergencies. He is faithful, kind, and hardworking, and we are praying that after surgery and rehabilitation, he will regain full use of his arm. The funds raised will go directly toward his medical bills, surgeries, rehabilitation, and legal support. Because David does not have medical insurance, the costs are overwhelming and some must be paid up front. He is also unable to return to work for at least 6-8 weeks, adding to the financial strain. Our family is pulling together to support him, but we would be deeply grateful for any help you can offer. If you could support David, even in a small way, it would mean so much and help ease the burden during this difficult time.
