Support Cortney's Road to Recovery

On May 18th, on her way to work, Cortney was involved in an horrific accident. Cortney, (on her motorcycle) in the middle of a left hand turn, was struck by an oncoming car going 45 miles per hour throwing her 40 feet in the air.

Cortney has suffered an open fracture on her left leg and on the same leg, a fractured ankle. She has undergone surgery for this leg but will have another surgery on her right leg that has a fractured knee with damage to the tibia, the tendon, and ligaments surrounding this area. She also has a pelvic fracture. Her face is beat up but thankfully she was wearing her helmet. She is currently in the ICU at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa/Milwaukee due to a large tear in her Aorta that she will undergo major surgery for in the next day or two. Thankfully her family has been able to travel to Milwaukee and spend time sitting with her and supporting her in the ICU.

Cortney is an independent 23 year old that supports herself, she is a very hard worker that has a hard time asking for help, but at this point she could really use some. Cortney had just recently started a new job and even in severe pain while in the ambulance she voiced her concerned about getting back too it.

We all just want Cortney to get better and come home but we know she has a long road ahead of her. We are hoping to alleviate the stress she will be under to pay medical and basic bills (rent, food, utilities) as she heals from all of her injuries.
