Help Support Chris’ Fight Against Stage 4 Melanoma
Donation protected
Hello,
In December of 2023, my husband, Chris Bertolino underwent a series of tests for what seemed like an innocuous rib injury from a recent motorcycle accident. Sadly, the results of these investigations led to the diagnosis of a very rare and aggressive form of Stage 4 Melanoma.
He was estimated to live 3 months without treatment and our lives changed forever with this terrifying news. Chris, who was playing ice hockey just a month prior, is only 39 years of age. In six short months his life has been dramatically altered, presenting significant challenges to his quality of life.
Chris is not only a loving husband but an amazing father to our daughter Olivia. And so, with everything he does in life, he is facing this terrible disease with resilience and strong will. His biggest desire in life is to watch our daughter grow for many years to come.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. With a two year minimum treatment plan, all funds raised will go directly towards covering medical bills, essential living costs during his treatment, and open up fertility options in hopes of growing our family in the near future. Your generosity will provide much needed relief, allowing Chris to focus on his recovery, and provide us with hope for a longer future together as a family.
Chris has pledged any remaining reserves to City of Hope to help others in need.
Sincerely,
The Bertolino Family
