Support Cecelia's Fight To Recovery

I'm making this fundraiser in hopes that it will help my daughter, Cecelia and her family stay afloat during this extremely difficult time. She has a very long road ahead of her and will be in the hospital for some time And it's very difficult for her partner Kevin to work his normal days/hrs while he takes care of their 6-month-old. Noah and sticks by her side.

Cecelia is more than just a young woman facing a medical crisis—she’s a loving mother to her adorable 6-month-old son, Noah, a dedicated student pursuing her dream of earning a doctorate at Tufts University, and a bright light in the lives of everyone who knows her.

Just a few weeks ago, Cecelia’s world was filled with hope, love, and ambition. But on June 10th, everything changed in an instant. She went to urgent care overwhelmed by a terrible earache, ringing in her ears, and unbearable pain. What started as what seemed like a simple infection quickly spiraled into a nightmare. Despite countless doctor visits and specialist consultations, her condition worsened rapidly, and her health began to deteriorate.

During this fight, Cecelia’s strength and resilience shone through. She was admitted to the hospital from June 16th to 18th, battling high fevers that soared to 103.5, all while trying to care for her tiny Noah and continue her classes online. Her ear infection turned into something far more serious—a relentless, unyielding illness that refused to let go. When she was finally discharged, the doctors confirmed she was fighting “bacteremia fever,” but her battle was far from over.

Just two days later, her condition worsened dramatically. Her fevers surged higher, she was vomiting, coughing uncontrollably, and struggling to breathe. Her oxygen levels plummeted, and she needed urgent help. She was transferred to a top Boston ICU where doctors found her lungs severely inflamed and overworked, damaged from internal causes.

For the past 13 days, Cecelia has been fighting for her life—her lungs have yet to recover, and her future hangs in the balance. Recently, she underwent a life-saving surgery called ECMO, which supports her heart and lungs, giving her a fighting chance. She’s now waiting on the possibility of a double lung transplant—a terrifying, uncertain road ahead.

Through it all, Cecelia’s spirit remains unbreakable. Her love for Noah, her dreams for her future, and her desire to be there for her family keep her fighting. But she cannot do this alone. Her partner Kevin is working tirelessly, trying to keep up with the mounting expenses and being by her side every moment he can. Their sweet Noah is too young to understand what’s happening, but he feels the love and hope that surrounds him.
