Support Carol and Bobby After Hurricane Helene

Donation protected
I'm raising money for my mother, Carol, and younger brother, Bobby, who lost everything but their lives and two cats on Friday, Sept 27, 2024.

They are one of many caught unaware and unprepared in Swannanoa, NC. On that day, Hurricane Helene caused flash flooding which ravaged their mobile home while decimating their entire town. They lived in the most damaged area of the town and haven't been able to get back to see if anything inside would be salvageable. It's been six days, with the water and mud stagnating in the heat; hope is sparse that even clothes can be salvaged.

They are alive today because they were able to get into a dump truck that was unlocked near their home as floodwaters rose and watched as the town around them was destroyed.

Carol is 77 and immobile due to disabilities while my younger brother Bobby is visually impaired. Any help would be appreciated.

They will be relying on FEMA for assistance as they are now displaced. Considering the number of people affected by Hurricane Helene, assistance will be a long time coming.

All donations will be used for everyday living expenses for both Carol and Bobby.

Thank you for reading our story. Please pray for Swannanoa and Western North Carolina. Our hearts are breaking.

Thank you,
