Please Help Support Carlos Mathis' Family in Crisis

Hello, my name is Carlos Mathis. I am currently in a period downtime due to an old hip fracture, a shoulder tear, and diabetes-related complications affecting my vision, mobility, and range of motion. My most recent injury occurred on July 6, 2024, and since then, I have been unable to find gainful employment or perform physical labor.

We have exhausted our savings and cannot afford our medical needs or rent. Half of all donations will go toward back rent and application fees, while the other half will support medications, medical devices (like CGM sensors and test strips), and travel to specialists. My wife and I have four young children that we're raising , while she is also dealing with her own specific set of medical issues.

I have applied for light-duty and driving jobs with minimal lifting but have only received automated responses. After working from age 14 to 48, this is the first year I’ve been completely unemployed.

Everyone faces challenges, and unfortunately, this is ours. Any assistance to help us reach our goal would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support from our family .
