Support Brianna Colbath's Christmas Food Drive

My name is Brianna Colbath.

My wife and I have, over the last 8 years, built a house in the Philippines. During the 8 years it took us to build it, we noticed a need for food in the surrounding neighborhood. In truth, my wife has been doing a food drive for about 14 years altogether.

What we have done together is put aside a little money each month so we can give 20 pounds of rice and a whole chicken to all families in our neighborhood on Christmas Eve. Last year, we gave away $1500.00 worth of food, serving 45 families.

I love this project as it is solely a grassroots food drive, and all money is put into the food. Volunteers package and distribute the food.

The need to expand this project is obvious to us, and it has become harder for us to continue this on our own income.

There is a secondary need for fill and some drainage on the road to and from this community that, if enough money is raised, a portion can help with this problem.
