Hi everyone, if you have gotten this far, I thank you for being here and taking the time to read through our story as a family.

During my pregnancy with baby Esther, I was made aware that she would be born with a heart defect. I was told that it may cause complications when she gets of age to start eating. Since her birth last December, we went through her being born and then not breathing, to a stay in the NICU, to coming home and 5 weeks later again stopped breathing in my home. We have had multiple visits to specialists and doctors for her different diagnoses.

Most of you are also aware that she was also born deaf, and we as a family of 3 have been partaking in ASL courses as much as we can. Some courses we have to pay for, and some resources have been provided to us by her specialists in San Francisco. On top of all of this, earlier this year I was also hospitalized for 8 days and diagnosed with systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, both of which are incurable autoimmune diseases. I returned to work 6 months after her birth and accrued debt trying to stay afloat on disability income while on this medical/postpartum leave.

Fast forward to now, I am embarrassed to say that my car has been repossessed and I do not have the means to pay to get it back. In the next few weeks, we have several doctors, specialists, speech therapy, and deaf mentor appointments to tend to that range from being in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Chico, and we would desperately need transportation for my family.

The car fees to get the car back are $3,600 alone. I will be taking time off work for baby Esther's multiple specialty appointments and heart surgery, and I am asking my friends and family for help in this difficult time so that I do not have to worry about getting evicted or not having a vehicle while trying to be my daughter's caregiver. On top of that, these funds would help not only get my car back but it would help with our 3 to 4-hour commutes, it would provide funds for us to have a place/Airbnb or hotel when we need to travel long distances, and it would provide around two weeks of funds for lost wages to be my baby girl's caregiver while she recovers from surgery.
