My name is Brandon, and I am working to raise funds to help support my best friend and his beautiful family during some tough times they have just endured.

My best friend, Alex Edwards, just underwent a 10-hour surgery at Sutter Health’s CPMC Van Ness campus consisting of 5 doctors and 10 nurses. He spent 7 days in the hospital, including 4 days in ICU.

During the surgery, they removed two inches of cancer on the left side of his face, which spread into his facial muscles and nerves. They had to remove nerves from his left arm for his face and a skin graft from his leg. They also removed over a 1/2 inch of cancer on the right side of his face going up to his ear.

He is now on 14 days of bed rest, has months of healing to do, including various doctor visits. He currently can’t hear out of his left ear as the middle of his ear is filled with blood and needs all the help and prayers he can get for healing and recovery.

Alex and his beloved spouse, Colby, support their two handsome young boys, Finley (4) and Ripple (2), and their dog, Ruby. I have known Alex for over 30+ years as we met in 1st grade, and he is more than my best friend; he is family!

He is the most caring, friendly, and humble person I know. He has never asked for anything from anyone, and he never would. This is why I am asking for prayers, support, and financial generosity for him as I cannot even imagine or fathom what he and his family are going through.
