My name is Adam, and I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia. I was diagnosed in May of 2025, and the past few months have been a whirlwind of doctors’ appointments—sometimes two to four each week—along with the physical and emotional challenges that come with treatment. While I am focused on my recovery, the financial strain has become overwhelming. Covering basic expenses like transportation to appointments, housing, and utilities has been difficult, especially since chemotherapy has made it impossible for me to work.

My mother has been my main support throughout this journey, helping me get to appointments and manage daily life. Despite her help, the costs keep adding up, and we’re struggling to keep up with everything. Before I got sick, I purchased a truck to help with daily needs and work. Now, it needs repairs, and a hand helping me fix it would go a long way to relieve some of my costs and help me regain independence.
