#SuperJaxson Original Post By Megan Mclean - Jaxsons Mother
On May 3rd 2018, we found out that our sweet, 6 year old son Jaxson has been diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, after a biopsy and excision of a swollen lymph node.
That day our entire world changed. Receiving this news was beyond heartbreaking especially his four siblings, who are heartbroken and scared for their very loved little brother. At 6 years old, Jaxson does not understand what is wrong with him, what the word cancer means, so we don't use that word with him. He knows he is sick, and he will be going to the doctor a lot to get better.
Jaxson will be getting a battery of diagnostic tests, labs, procedures, CT & PET scans to learn more about his disease, but we do know that he will need chemotherapy for a minimum of 6 months, and countless diagnostics throughout the course of his illness.
We are asking for help as soon as possible; whether in the form of prayer, connection, or helping offset the costs of his medical treatment. We are thankful for any and all support. We pray he will have strength to endure this over the next 6 months, and that he will see positive outcomes as a result of his treatment. We thank you all for your love and support during the most difficult time in our lives. Through this we turn to God to heal our son. Our hope is in him.
