Meet Scarlett
Scarlett is 10 years old and lives in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders. She has cerebral palsy, cerebral visual impairment, and epilepsy. Scarlett is PEG fed and non-verbal following a lack of oxygen at birth.
Despite everything she faces, Scarlett is full of personality — she’s cheeky, has a wicked sense of humour, and shows a level of strength that inspires everyone around her. She truly is our superstar.
The reality is, the support available through the NHS alone isn’t enough to give Scarlett the opportunities she deserves. As her mum, I will always fight to give her the very best chance at life — but the therapies and support she needs come at a significant cost.
We are raising funds to help Scarlett access a range of vital therapies and interventions, including Movement Lessons UK, DMI therapy, reflex integration, and stem cell therapy in the US. Funds will also go towards specialist equipment and essential home adaptations to support her daily life.
Over the past five years, we have been incredibly lucky to raise a substantial amount — and every penny has gone towards helping Scarlett thrive. Now, we need to start fundraising again so she can continue these life-changing therapies.
Scarlett has so much potential. She just needs the chance to show it.
