My Best Friend in Need of Help

Hello, my name is Skyla Suarez. I am seventeen years old. My dog is in need of major help. I got my dog Sugarbear when I was 5 years old, by my father. My dad passed away in July of 2008 and my dog Sugarbear is the only living thing that I have left of my father. Sugarbear was always a happy, energetic, and loving dog. He took my father's role of being the man of the house, which was so funny. He is my best friend, he waits at my door and scratches at my door when he wants to sleep with me, and he is always there for me when I need him. Just today, he was having diarreha and throwing up, and all of a sudden his legs collapsed. I had no idea what was wrong,  I called my mom and grandma hysterically crying and immediately rushed to the vet because I could not lose my best friend! When we took him to the vet, they soon realized that he could have what was called pancreatitis, which has the symptoms of vommiting, lack of appetite, lack of thirst, weight loss, weakness, depression, dehydration and abdominal pain, as well as a heart murmur. If this does not get fixed, this can eventually lead to death. We paid $545 for the vet to take blood work,  give IV, and X-Rays to make sure he stays hydrated, and so that his pain can go away for the mean time. The vet had also told us that if we did not bring him to the Animal Hospital, he would for sure pass away because he was in severe need of medical attention. The cost of Sugarbear staying overnight for antibiotics and to be montiored for just 1 night came out to $400. The cost of doing this is much more than we expected, and can afford. Any donations would be very helpful and much appreciated. If you were in this situation, wouldn't you want the help as well? This is my best friend, and my dog has inspired me to become a veterinarian because I want to help other animals in need, NO animal deserves to have pain and suffer.
