Student loses all belongings in dorm room fire

Donation protected
On Sunday, November 10th, Nichole Mahler woke to the smell of heavy smoke in her Dewey Hall dorm room. The fire alarm then shortly went off in her suite and she noticed smoke emanating from the area behind her dresser. Nichole quickly exited the room and called 911. Once the police arrived, they discerned that there was too much smoke to enter the room and pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the building. Although alternative housing was provided by the university, Nichole lost most of her possesions in the fire. Her laptop, wallet (containing all her cash, credit cards, and identification), books, clothing, shoes, jewlery, toiletries and makeup were destroyed. Please consider making a donation to assist Nichole in purchasing the supplies neccesary to get her through the remainder of the semester. Particulary with the winter weather setting in and finals on the horizon. If you are unable to donate to the GoFundMe campaign please consider at least sharing this information on your social media so that we can get the word out to others. Thank you in advance for your genoristy and helping another student.
