Paws 4 A Cure is providing a $300 grant, but her mom is trying to raise an additional $5,000 for the remainder of the funds that Storm needs to move forward with the treatment.

“Storm is a 9-year-old Siberian Husky who turns 10 this July. I’ve had her since she was just 2 months old, when my husband got her for me while I was adjusting to military life away from my family. During that time, she became my best friend and constant companion through everything.

Recently, Storm was scheduled to have a mass removed from her leg, which was confirmed to be a lipoma. During that process, the vets discovered multiple masses on her liver, which was completely unexpected. She has since had an ultrasound and x-rays, and we are now working with specialists to determine the best course of treatment.

Storm now needs surgery to address the liver mass and give her the best chance at more time and a good quality of life.

Storm is my best friend and has been by my side through some of the hardest moments of my life.
