St John's Parish/Gym Floor Project
Spende geschützt
“St. John’s School has been a blessing to our family. The St. John’s community welcomed us with open arms, and we are so grateful for the work the faculty does to support our son’s academic, spiritual, and emotional growth.” These are just a few words from the parents of one of our students as they describe the effect St. John the Baptist School (Johnsburg, IL) has had on their family. Of course, that wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community.
Today, we are writing to ask for your consideration to support our school as we continue with our mission to educate the hearts and minds of our students. St. John the Baptist Catholic School respectfully seeks a donation to renovate the floor for our school gymnasium/parish hall.
For the past 171 years, St. John’s School has offered high-quality education that puts emphasis not only on scholastic excellence but also strong Catholic principles. We are proud to be able to offer our students a full range of academic opportunities as well as small class sizes that offer children a more enriching experience. That being said, funding for St. John’s school comes from tuition, parish support, and fundraisers. It is vital that our school remains affordable and accessible to our community members. As such, we are in the process of exploring new and creative ways in which to boost both enrollment and funding.
We feel that, because our school gymnasium not only serves our students as an athletic space and lunch room, but also as our Parish Hall and is also the center of most of our fundraising events, this is the ideal place to start. The floor is currently carpeted, which is not functional for our students’ athletic events. It is also badly stained and is coming unraveled in places, leading to safety concerns for our students and visitors. Additionally, with our school’s dependency on parish events and school fundraising, we are confident that this renovation will considerably improve the chance for us to increase both enrollment and our level of fundraising opportunities.
