This fundraiser is for our dear friends and
family in Christ… Stuart and Michelle.
We are looking for support to help carry their financial burden until he can go back to work, as short term disability is not an option.
Stuart is a Pastor, and is bi vocational, working a full time job. Michelle currently isn’t able to work a job outside the home due to her health.
It has been 55 days now since the covid battle began, and they don’t know when he will be released back to work at this point.
Stuart had an emergency surgery four days after being admitted for Covid, a perforated bowel,
which had begun leaking intestinal contents into his abdominal cavity, he remains on a Wound Vac.
Stuart was on the ventilator for six days, his care team sharing at one point, that he is in the 10% of people who make it off the ventilator, without a tracheotomy, and other issues related to being intubated. At this point they’re saying he will be on oxygen when he is finally able to go home. He is currently doing intense inpatient Acute Care Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy.
He is being treated also for the
pneumonia and bacterial infection in his
lungs, and treating him for blood clots in his lungs and both legs, and cognitive and other issues due to covid. He is also deeply grieving and processing the loss of his father, who passed away one day after he was admitted to the hospital.
Stuart has come a long way, Praise God, but still has a way to go!
