Guillain-Barre Syndrome fact sheet click here
Steven Chute is a 26 year old man who has been stricken with Guillain-Barre syndrome on Jan 11 2014. Steven lost his job, his insurance and much more. One day he was walking and talking and ready to work and the next day (literaly) he was paralyzed with a feeding tube in his belly and breathing tube in his throat. It is a very rare syndrome with no known cure and limited treatment. He is making some progress by keeping a positive attitude, but he still has little or no feeling below his waist and cannot walk or care for himself. He is currently at his own home and needs 24 hour care. We are raising money to cover living and medical costs ( we have an 8000 out of pocket to meet ). He has a van but it is older and the lift on it will not support his motorized chair (the chair is too heavy). Everyone heals at a different rate and he is going very slowly. He has a positive attitude even with all that has happened. Not only has this been a tragic physical and emotional tragedy, it has been financially devastating as well. Please help as you can. It's time to pay it forward. May God bless you all for any gift you can give to help!!
