Steven Blunk, a 32 year old Army veteran from Streetsboro was in a life altering motorcycle accident on July 15, 2018. He was sent by Life flight to a Trauma Unit in Cleveland, where he was treated for a Spinal Cord Injury. After many weeks spent in ICU, Steven is now stable and going through Spinal Cord Rehab at the VA Hospital in Cleveland. Here he is relearning how to do the daily tasks that we all take for granted as he is suffering from paralysis from the chest down. While he has already come such a long way, he has a long road ahead of him. Prior to his accident, Steven was an avid adventurer. He was a state champion wrestler in high school , a licensed helicopter pilot and enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, four wheeling and other adrenaline pumping activities. In the photo, he is backpacking in Costa Rica. This GoFundMe is a way to help Steven purchase the things he needs to allow him to be independent in his home and adjust to his new life.
