Stand with Steve

Our brother, Steve Berntson, is an amazing man.  He is a caring husband, father, son , brother and friend.  He is always willing to help others.  Those of you who know him well can attest to this.  His wife, Shelly is his kind and compassionate life partner.  Together they have been   battling through his initial diagnosis (Nov 2014) of Multiple Myeloma cancer.  After a autologous(from his own cells) stem cell transplant in July 2015, Steve has been doing well on a maintenance chemotherapy regimen.  He and Shelly enjoyed spectacular motorcycle trip out west in July of this year.

Unfortunately, Steve's blood counts began to drop in August of 2017. Last Thursday, September 21st, 2017 he was diagnosed with a secondary cancer, Myelodysplastic Syndrome. (MDS)  At this point the treatment to save his life involves an urgent allogenic stem cell transplant (from a donor).

He will now be unable to work which will place a significant financial burden on them.

Please consider blessing Steve and Shelly to assist in the medical bills and living expenses as they face this unsettling and scary situation.
