As many of you may know my dad was in a severe work accident yesterday morning. However some may not know the extent.

He was hit in the head with a branch making him collide into the tree with his body.

He was rushed to KU med unconscious. We found out that he suffered from a collapsed lung, 8 broke ribs, a fractured shoulder blade, multiple fractures to his skull and brain bleeds.

As of right now he has been sedated since then and still on a ventilator. He has been stable today and the air in his brain has dissipated, thank fully. However he has very long road of recovery ahead of him. He will be out of work for many months. We still don’t know all the details of how recovery will look.

His brain bleeds got a little worse overnight but they did a cat-scan this afternoon and it has not worsened or got better. It’s just stable right now.

As most of you know my dad is the soul provider of the home for my mom and sisters. Times are very tough for them right now and my dad would be embarrassed to ask for help but she cannot do this all on her own and me and my oldest sister can only help so much as I’m in college full time and she will be a mother to three here soon.
