Stand with Nattie: A Mother's Courageous Fight for Healing

As some of you know, my beautiful daughter has faced extreme trauma for many years, incredible stress, is a single mama who loves her son with all her heart, and who is fighting to make it on her own, not without support, but she carries it all on her shoulders. Many of you have heard me say over the years that she is the strongest person I know and even in knowing that, I had no idea just how strong she is.

Monday, she reached the pivotal moment of choosing to go into in-patient care to get healthy, not only for her little angel she loves, but also for herself. It was time and she was ready, she IS ready. She is where she needs to be, doing what she needs to do, and getting the help to come back stronger and healthier.

I am starting this GoFundMe to raise support for her. While she is healing, I am managing everything for her that I can so that she does not need to have that on her shoulders. This means physically and financially supporting 2 households, bills, and sharing care with Daniel, for her/their sweet, beautiful son who is experiencing separation from his mama. My hope is to raise enough money to cover her bills and her apartment, ensure every need for Nova is easily within reach, and do all that I need to do for her including travel to visit my girl. We are doing this together, hand in hand, heart to heart. I also hope that I can raise enough to give her a fresh start without the pressure of lost income and needing to jump back into work when she comes back to us, and she can just focus on her health and healing process and reunite with her son without financial pressure.

Currently, we know and agree that she cannot go back to her home. She does not feel safe there and has been needing to move and returning to her current place could potentially cause a relapse. In making this transition, quite possibly her things will need to be packed up and go into storage until a new place can be found and that will require additional resources that we currently do not have available. There are many questions, much to do and learn all while supporting Nattie and Nova to the best of our ability.

Nattie is loved far more than she has been able to feel and see and so many know her and have been blessed to be loved, helped, and supported by her. Her light shines bright and the world is a brighter place simply because she is part of it. She is a warrior and so courageously fighting to heal. She will win, if anyone can, she can! Anything helps and we are all so grateful. We are only focusing on the positive and moving forward. Our faith is strong and so is she. I wish I could put into words everything and yet right now, my thoughts and heart cannot find the words that usually come so easily to me. I am so very thankful that I was who she came to and trusted to help her, and I will not let her down.

You can do this, together we will get through this, and this is the start of a whole new life for you. I am incredibly proud of your strength, determination, and to be your mom. I have watched you crawl, take your first steps, learn to walk then run. I have been gifted to see you grow into the beautiful woman and mother you are and stand beside you every step of the way, through the good times and the deeply hard times. I have watched you fall time and time again, and get right back up, dust yourself off and keep going against all the odds. I see you and I hear your music and it makes the world and MY world a much brighter place. I will forever be your greatest fan and supporter and I love you with everything that I am. This is YOUR time, and it is time for all the beauty, love, and support you deserve because you my beautiful daughter, are simply amazing.
