Last month, after a regular trip to the grocery store, Miguel was abducted by masked, unidentified ICE agents in front of his home and his children. His family has not seen him since. Beatriz is fighting to free Miguel from ICE detention over 1,000 miles away from home, while supporting three sons, ages 8, 9, and 15, and a 7-month-old baby girl.

Miguel is a loving and supportive father who is dedicated to his children and was the family’s primary provider. His children miss going to the park with their father and the meals he would cook them. A friendly and outgoing person, he has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and always tried to help his neighbors. Now is our turn to help this family. Beatriz is trying to make ends meet and facing steep legal costs to appeal for his release.

Miguel is emotionally traumatized from being separated from his family, living daily with the fear of deportation and suffering from upper respiratory illness due to the crowded and cold conditions in his cell. Beatriz is doing all that she can to try to get him released. Despite the exorbitant cost of calls, she maintains contact with him at least daily.

The family is giving their all for Miguel to have the opportunity to see his baby learn to crawl, celebrate his boys completing their 2nd and 3rd grades, and walk with his eldest on his journey through adolescence. Let us come together in solidarity with this family in our community. They urgently need support to afford rent, utilities, diapers, and legal fees. Contributions of any size will make a difference. El mes pasado, tras una visita normal al supermercado, fue secuestrado por agentes de ICE enmascarados y no identificados frente a su casa y sus hijos. Su familia no lo ha visto desde entonces. Beatriz lucha por liberar a Miguel de la detención de ICE a más de 1600 kilómetros de su hogar, mientras mantiene a sus tres hijos de 8, 9 y 15 años, y a una bebé de 7 meses.

Miguel es un padre cariñoso y entregado a sus hijos, quien era el principal sostén de la familia. Sus hijos extrañan ir al parque con su padre y las comidas que les preparaba. Amable y extrovertido, ha vivido en Estados Unidos por más de 20 años y siempre ha intentado ayudar a sus vecinos. Ahora nos toca a nosotros ayudar a esta familia. Beatriz lucha por llegar a fin de mes y enfrenta altos costos legales para apelar su liberación.

Miguel está traumatizado emocionalmente por la separación de su familia, vive a diario con el miedo a la deportación y sufre de enfermedades respiratorias debido al hacinamiento y al frío en su celda. Beatriz está haciendo todo lo posible para conseguir su liberación. A pesar de los altísimos gastos de las llamadas en el centro de detención, Beatriz, se comunica con Miguel por lo menos una vez al dia.

Esta familia esta dando todo para que Miguel tenga la oportunidad de ver a su bebe aprender a gatear, celebrar la clausura del segundo y tercer grado con sus hijitos, y acompañar a su hijo en su camino por la adolescencia. Unámonos para solidarizarnos con esta familia en nuestra comunidad. Necesitan urgentemente apoyo para pagar el alquiler, los servicios públicos, los pañales y los honorarios legales.
