My name is Jessica. My brothers and I are starting a GoFundMe account to help our parents with increasing medical bills due to our mother's cancer treatments. Some may know our mom as Connie while others may know her as Mrs. Claus.

Our mom's story. She had been having pain in her right side and was being treated for bursitis; however, it was not relieving her of pain. In November 2023, she was running errands but when she arrived back home she could not walk to get herself inside the house. She was in excruciating pain, so we called for an ambulance. After having tests done at the hospital, the doctor came in to give us the results. We were completely in shock...CANCER! She had cancer, but we didn't know what kind or how severe it was. The cancer had attacked her femur which is why she could not walk. This led to an emergency ride to Penn State Hershey with surgery the following day. After a lot of lab work and consults, she began treatment for stage 4 metastatic Rhabdoid Pulmonary Carcinoma. She’s undergone targeted radiation, chemotherapy, and gamma knife x2.

Fast forward to 2025, she is still receiving treatment but more frequently. Thankfully, her Medicare helps, but it certainly doesn’t cover everything, and treatments are costly.

Our parents are not ones to ask for help, but with increasing medical expenses, we’ve decided to host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser in their support. Many people have reached out wanting to help who may not be able to attend the fundraiser, so we thought this would be a good platform for those who would like to contribute.
