Hello all,
It's just about that time of year again. For the second year in a row the St. Mary's Men's Rugby Team is going to National Small College Rugby Organization 7's Rugby National Championship! As you may know, last year's National Championship Tournament saw the SMCM Men's team shock everbody with a spectacular run through tough competition to find themselves in the finals on Day 2 contending for the national championship. After a tough loss in the finals last year, and ultimately finishing 2nd in the nation, our team is back this year with a vengance.

Having just recently placed first in the national qualifier tournament at Franklin and Marshall College we've punched our ticket back into the National Championship Tournament, and this time we plan to take it all. But first, we need your help. Without the help of you; family, friends, SMCM alumn and generous ruggers, our journey to becoming National Champions will be short lived. As a club sport at a small college funding is especially hard to come by, and even with the newfounded support our school has shown us, the majority of the expenses that come with competing for a national champioship are brunted by the club itself.
Any and all donations made through this page go directly to the club to help us afford transportation, hotels, team equipment and meals for the month leading up to and including the National Championship Tournament Weekend. We cannot afford these expenses without your help fundraising!
Speaking as a player who's been a part of this program for just 2 years, and captaining the team on our run this year, I can honestly say this is one of the greatest group of guys I've ever been a part of. Everyone has their own reasons for loving rugby, but for me, and most of us on the team, I think what really stands out is the comraddery between each man on the roster. From the pitch to the classroom this team has become a family. Heeding the lessons taught to us by our coaches, Larry Donmoyer and Terry Pledger, we've learned to use this commradery to do some amazing things on the pitch. Come June 3rd and 4th, with your help, we aim to put these skills on full display.
