At St. Mark Children Orphanage Foundation, nestled in our small rented space, we've created more than just shelter; we've built a home for 51 precious children who now know the warmth of safety and the sound of laughter once more. For these young souls, many of whom arrived carrying the weight of difficult pasts and even untreated illnesses, our foundation is a beacon of hope – a place where they are cherished and reminded daily that they are not alone.

My name is Egesa Rashid Samuel, and since 2021, alongside my dedicated friends at St. Mark Children Orphanage Foundation (Mujwenge Brian Nyiro, Othieno Samuel, Basiima Wycliffe), we have poured our hearts into providing for these children. But the truth is, sustaining this haven requires consistent support, and right now, our resources are stretched thin.

Each month brings the pressing challenge of meeting their fundamental needs. Rent is our first hurdle, ensuring a secure roof over their heads – a peaceful environment where they can finally sleep without fear. Feeding 51 growing children is a daily commitment, and we work tirelessly to make every coin count, striving to offer at least two nutritious meals a day, often supplemented with fruits or porridge whenever possible.

Healthcare is another vital pillar of our care. Many of our children arrived with untreated conditions, making regular medical checkups essential to ensure their well-being. We also prioritize their dignity by providing hygiene products, especially for our older girls. Clean water and a reliable source of electricity are equally crucial, enabling us to cook, provide sanitation, and maintain a safe and livable environment.

We embarked on this journey fueled by a simple belief: every child deserves a chance to thrive. But we cannot do this alone. We urgently need compassionate individuals like you to partner with us and help us secure the future of these children.
