Ayúdame a seguir luchando por mi futuro
Hola, soy Amanda Sophia, tengo 14 años y Síndrome de Down.
Help Me Keep Fighting for My Future
Hello, my name is Amanda Sophia. I am 14 years old and I have Down Syndrome.
When I was 8 years old, my mom became ill with cancer and went to heaven to be with God. Since then, my dad and I have faced many battles together.
In 2023, we arrived in the United States thanks to kind families from the Faith Baptist Church in Byhalia, Mississippi, who wanted to give us a new opportunity. But my health became complicated: I was diagnosed with atlantoaxial instability C1-C2 in my neck, underwent 4 surgeries, and spent 7 months hospitalized and recovering at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
My dad has cared for me alone for over 3 years, but now he needs help. My medical checkups and education must continue, and my grandmothers in Venezuela are ready to care for me for a while — but we need resources to make it possible.
Today, I ask you to help me keep smiling, learning, and dreaming.
Your contribution, big or small, can change my life — now with my dad, or in the future when my dad is no longer here.
Thank you for your support and for sharing my story.
