<div>Cuando tenía 8 años, mi mamá enfermó de cáncer y se fue al cielo con Dios Desde entonces, mi papá y yo hemos enfrentado muchas batallas juntos.

<div>En 2023, llegamos a Estados Unidos gracias a familias bondadosas de la Iglesia Faith Baptist Church en Byhalia Mississippi que quisieron darnos una nueva oportunidad. Pero mi salud se complicó: fui diagnosticada con inestabilidad atlantoaxial C1-C2 en cuello , tuve 4 cirugías y pasé 7 meses en hospitalización y recuperación en el Le Bonheur children hospital.

<div>Mi papá me ha cuidado solo por más de 3 años, pero ahora necesita ayuda. Mis controles médicos y mi educación deben continuar, y mis abuelas en Venezuela están listas para apoyarme y cuidarme un tiempo pero necesitamos recursos para hacerlo posible.

<div>Hello, my name is Amanda Sophia. I am 14 years old and I have Down Syndrome.

<div>When I was 8 years old, my mom became ill with cancer and went to heaven to be with God. Since then, my dad and I have faced many battles together.

</div>

<div>In 2023, we arrived in the United States thanks to kind families from the Faith Baptist Church in Byhalia, Mississippi, who wanted to give us a new opportunity. But my health became complicated: I was diagnosed with atlantoaxial instability C1-C2 in my neck, underwent 4 surgeries, and spent 7 months hospitalized and recovering at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

<div>My dad has cared for me alone for over 3 years, but now he needs help. My medical checkups and education must continue, and my grandmothers in Venezuela are ready to care for me for a while — but we need resources to make it possible.
