Solar Lights for the Philippines (CLOSED)

For my birthday this year, I’m supporting the kids for the future x one million lights project to provide solar lights to families in the Philippines.

UPDATE - Thank you to everyone who supported this incredible cause! Together, we've raised 31000PHP (~$827AUD). In other words, 32 households in the Philippines will now have sustainable access to solar light for 5 years. Salamat kaayo!

- Families in the Philippines are still struggling since the onslaught of the 2020 typhoons. This is on top of the devastating impact of the pandemic and the climate crisis.
kids for the future x one million lights have identified communities in Catanduanes, Agusan, and Zambales that still have no access to electricity.
- Families that can afford it might use kerosene for light (40PHP or $1.08AUD). However, World Bank report that this can be as harmful as smoking 2 packets of cigarettes a day.

- 950PHP (~$25.67AUD) provides 1 household with solar lights for 5 years.

The Philippines is one of my homelands. I’ll be eternally grateful for any amount that you can contribute to this cause.
