Smiles for Vivi Fundraiser
Donation protected
Vivienne Quesnel overcame high-risk cancer once by the age of 5, and was cancer free for almost 2 years. After learning to walk again, and starting school, the treatment had failed and the cancer returned before her 7th birthday.
With another 2 years of daily chemotherapy treatments ahead of her (the standard treatment duration for girls with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia), hundreds of hospital visits, painful needles, dozens of operating rooms visits, endless anxiety and fright - she is optimistic that she will be able to grow her hair back and return to school and her old life.
Donations help daily in many ways. Especially for medical supplies that are not covered. For example, CCAC offers 'syringe' supplies monthly, but they do not fit her feeding tube where her mother injects her chemotherapy when she is at home. The free syringes spill the drugs all over and squirt out. They have to purchase the proper hospital syringes from a pharmacy and pay for them for her daily medications. It is extremely important for the chemotherapy doses to be precise.
We are holding a family fundraiser Sunday November 18th, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion. 141 Hwy 20 E, Fonthill. We are offering brunch or pasta dinner, with a live auction and door prizes.
All proceeds are to help Vivienne through her 2 year medical journey to help ensure she has the best possible care experience.
If you are unable to attend and would still like to help, message me directly or you can donate here. Gofundme takes a Payment processing fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation.
Please come out to our fundraiser evening and we hope to see you there! Thank you.
