Dear Community,

If you live in Chicago and you’ve ever been in need, you probably have met this family. From showing up at Standing Rock to organizing the closure of kids’ detention centers in Rogers Park. From feeding our houseless neighbors to getting supplies to migrant families in need. From organizing La Villita Free Store to frequently having folks in need staying at their place. This family’s capacity to care and show up is like no other.

Today, this beautiful family needs our support, it is time for us to show up for them. The last year has been a constant struggle, having long periods of no electricity, and most recently, car issues that put even more at risk their ability to generate income and cover their basic needs.

We want to give them space to breathe. We want to show up for them and show them that we care for them and we love them. We want them to know that we see and appreciate the so many hours, so much driving and so much organizing they do, making sure who’s got what, who needs what and how to get it where it needs to go as soon as possible.

We need all of you, and your friends and community, to help us support them by donating whatever amount you can so that they can stop drowning in this system that especially targets amazing people like them.
