Shaykh’s Daughter in Critical Need of Further Medical Help

This is a heartfelt appeal for the daughter of my teacher and Shaykh in Mauritania, a man who has spent his life teaching Qur'an and sacred knowledge without ever asking for anything in return.

His 15-year-old daughter, Radia, has been struggling with serious and unexplained health issues for months. After we raised funds previously for suspected kidney failure, the tests revealed severe inflammation and signs of a serious urinary tract condition. The recent results now show millions of white blood cells and red blood cells in her urine—clear signs of dangerous inflammation or possibly a rare infection or autoimmune condition.

What Do The Latest Tests Show?

Extremely high white blood cell count (2.9 million/mL) in her urine

Nearly 1 million red blood cells/mL — indicating bleeding or damage

Presence of pus, blood, protein — all signs of internal distress

And yet, no bacteria detected, which points to something more serious than a simple infection — possibly kidney inflammation, TB of the urinary tract, or autoimmune disease

Doctors urgently need to run specialist investigations, imaging scans, and possibly hospitalise her for observation, but the costs are now far beyond the family’s ability to cover.

If left untreated, this could damage her kidneys permanently or lead to something life-threatening.

The Shaykh lives humbly, with no wealth or resources. He would never ask for help himself — so we are doing it on his behalf.
