Hello Everyone,
My name is Shawn Bliven. I was raised in Goshen, NY. After graduating from Goshen High School in 1987, I attended the York College of PA, recieving my degree in HR Management.
I have had Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for over 32 yrs now. I have tried all the MS Drugs out there and none have helped. All they did was make me worse. I can’t get around that well any longer. The MS has made sure of that. I must keep trying and learning about what else I can do. Now I have investigated and researched HSCT ~ Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation. I have been accepted into Clinic Ruiz in Mexico. The expense is quite high, over $54,500 for the treatment. Of course that is only a start. Plane fares, food, amongst many other expenses.
This is the purpose of this fundraiser and I am seeking your support in this venture. I am so Hoping that this just might help me walk without assistance, throw a ball, maybe even dance a slow dance again. I know there are no guarantees. All I can hope for is to have a little piece of my life back! My life was never supposed to be like this. I never got married, had kids - MS never gave me the chance, it took everything from me. I am hoping that HSCT might be able to give me just a small part of my life back!
I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, I can never explain what just a small amount of normalcy means to me. With everyone’s help, I might just feel that again. I know thank you is never going to be enough, but Please Know, I will try to repay everyone by making this work for me!
