Sepsis be gone
Chiara, my wonderful wife since 17 years, barely escaped life-threatening effects of Sepsis due to late diagnosis despite using very respectable private medical care in London.
Thankfully one week into her ordeal she was properly diagnosed by a Private Hospital. As this diagnosis came quite late she has been recovering for two months - probably with another 3-4 months of memory loss, tiredness and lack of attention.
April 15th I will be running Boston Marathon in support of Global Sepsis Alliance. Your help is much appreciated.
Sepsis is one of the most common, least recognised illnesses in both the developed and developing world. Globally 20 - 30 million patients are estimated to be afflicted every year with 6 - 8 million deaths.
September 13, 2019 is World Sepsis Day.
