Send Kalissa to Open Jar Broadway Summer Intensive!

Hi everyone,

My name is Kalissa, and I am an incoming sophomore in the Theatre Arts program at MNSU, Mankato. I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to attend the Open Jar Institute in New York City—one of the most prestigious musical theatre training programs in the country. This is a dream come true for me as someone who lives and breathes theatre. The chance to train in NYC, learn from Broadway professionals, and grow alongside other passionate performers means the world to me.

However, as much as I want to seize this opportunity, the cost of the program, travel, and accommodations is difficult to manage. I was raised by a single parent who has always supported my dreams, but affording something like this on our own is a real challenge.

That’s why I’m reaching out to my community—friends, family, and anyone who believes in supporting the arts and young talent. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to this life-changing experience.
