Send Joe Li to London, England! She will honor us there by playing in the New Year’s Day parade! The flyer: “The combined Pickerington Marching Band has been invited by the Lord Mayor of West Minster, to perform in the London New Year’s Day parade!! This is a very exciting educational and musical opportunity for our students as well as a tremendous honor to be selected to represent the community of Pickerington, State of Ohio, and the United States of America in this prestigious event. This invitation was extended to us as a result of our students’ commitment to excellence in both their concert and marching band performances We are very excited to offer this opportunity to our band students”!
This young lady prays hard and works hard! She understands that: “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works” James 2:18.
AND she’s been taught: “…faith without works is dead…” James 2:26. A junior in high school, 16-year-old Joe Li has been blessed to receive perfect scores playing her tuba in state competitions. Something very special and endearing about this young lady is her authentic spirit of gratitude. No matter WHAT it might be, if you gift her anything, her “Thank you’s” are sincere. No amount can be too small; we trust God to increase it all!!
