Seeding money for MORE

Hi, I'm Chris Dockrill.

I recently received an Australia Day Life Time Achievement Award for my contributions to the cultural life of the Macleay Valley.

I plan to produce my latest play, "More", at the Bandbox Theatre in June this year. It is an ambitious production with a cast of 16 characters.

I intend to donate all of the profits to the Bandbox Theatre to help keep this iconic but struggling theatre alive.

Before Covid, I produced my previous play, "Flame Trees", and donated $10,500 to the theatre, which helped keep it financial for the past two years.

I do not charge royalties for such productions, nor do I take any pay or financial compensation.

More tells the story of TJ Carruthers. TJ has millions of dollars but wants more. He is an insensitive man who is willing to trample over anyone who gets in his way.

The play is set on the rear deck of TJ's multi-million dollar motor yacht. It is the evening of his 50th birthday celebrations. He has invited family and friends.

Given the ambitious nature of this production, we need seeding money to get us going, hence the appeal via GFM.

You can donate as much as you want. However, donations over $100 will receive a tee-shirt OR a free comp VIP ticket to the show as a way of us saying thanks.
