Securing a future for Sarah
Donation protected
The day after Sarah earned the right to work in Canada, she suddenly lost the power of speech and the ability to control the right side of her body. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and with intense rehab and consistent effort, she was able to regain 85% of her abilities, but chronic pain, fatigue, and permanent nerve damage have stolen her ability to work. She is ineligible for a disability pension. We would like to set Sarah up with a Registered Disability Savings Plan in order to provide her with some security as she ages and her condition worsens. The government of Canada will match contributions to the savings plan up to a limit of $3500, plus give us a grant based on my income. If our goal is reached, Sarah will have a nest egg to provide for her comfort and quality of life. Every dollar raised here will go into the savings fund.
