Second Growth Herb Collective Mutual Aid Projects

Donation protected
This coming fall, Second Growth Herb Collective (SGHC) is partnering with the Jefferson County Antiracist Fund to include self-care remedies in the CSA boxes that are distributed to JCARF CSA recipients. Our hope is to provide remedies and herbal medicine that support the shift from the season of fire into the cooling earth season, which are easy to use and encourage a sense of warmth, safety, and comfort.

Who we are:

Second growth Herb Collective grows, makes and shares herbal remedies and medicines with local Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, as well as frontline activists and otherwise marginalized community members. We do our work on Sklallam/Twana and Chemakum land and honor those who came before us here. As the “Second Growth,” we are a work in progress. We are always learning more about being in good relationship with the land, the communities we aim to serve, and each other. We strive to embody anti oppressive, trauma informed care, and harm reduction values in our relationships with community and the land. By engaging in mutual aid and direct resource redistribution with our neighbors, marginalized community members and those fighting for radical change, we are committed to embodying the world we wish to see flourish.

WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RUN MUTUAL AID GROUP that has been functioning with minimal to no funds since the inception of the group in 2020. Any funds that we have used have come from individual members of the collective. We are ready to reach out for support and funding for our efforts! We are asking for support in the form of either direct supplies for these self care remedies, or money to support our work.
