The Pollinator's Paradise
Donation protected
It is our goal to dedicate and transform several acres of the family farm into an area conducive to supporting our besieged pollinators ~ Bees, Butterflies & Hummingbirds. With milkweed & many indigenous plants already supporting and promoting habitat for pollinators, planting more Milkweed, Coneflowers, Tithonia, Sage, Salvia & prairie grasses in addition to trees & vegetable gardens is vital for their survival. But in order to put the necessary acreage into pollinator sanctuary status, financial resources are needed. We seek enough funding for a water well, machine shed, equipment for ground preparation and planting plus purchases of trees and plants beneficial to our bees & butterflies (for ex. Oak, Chestnut, Aster, Goldenrod, Meadow Blazing Star, Joe Pye Weed, chives, etc.). Having been in the family for 150 years, our Sesquicentennial farm is a prime location for this significant project that impacts our food supply and the future health of our world. Located directly in a Monarch and Hummingbird Migratory Route, your contribution can and will make a difference here. Magical memories of trees filled with Monarchs when visiting our Grandparents here as children help fuel my vision for this project. This is a significant cause that I will continue to champion... TYIA for your support!
