Turn Savonya's Dreams Into Reality

Hello. My name is Savonya Haliburton. I am a 12 year old DANCER and CELLIST from Riviera Beach, Florida. I am also a student in the honors program at Florida Virtual School. I have always loved dancing, but my formal training started about 2 years ago. Since I began formal training, ballet has become my PASSION! I volunteer 2-3 times a week at UB Kinsey Elementary School of the Arts after school dance program. This gives me the opportunity to give back to other young dancers and truly brings joy to my heart. One of my goals this year was to be accepted into a summer dance intensive. Instead, I have been accepted into 3 different programs, which has exceeded what I expected!!! I am so grateful to have these life changing oppertunities.

This GoFundMe campaign is to offset the cost of tution and housing for the 2017 summer intensives of Dance Theater of Harlem in New York and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater in Chicago. Payment is due by the end of May for both of these summer programs.

My dream is to become a principal dancer. Attending these intensives will enable me to advance my career by learning different styles of dance and ballet, gain exposure, and receive special coaching in partnering. These programs will play a vital role in my career as they will help me to develop my body, technique, artistry, and become a well-rounded dancer.
