Hi everyone… many in our community were hit hard with this last storm and with this next front rolling in, some may get hit again.
I’m reaching out now on behalf of our friend, our neighbor, and long time Jamaica family, Nancy Jean Henry.
Most of us know the hard work, the love, and the joy she brings to our village whether she mows our lawns or picks us up a meal or maybe you met her 8ft tall alter ego Auntie Depressant at a local fair, parade, or our own Jamaica Old Home day parade and she brought a bit of joy into your life.  Maybe, she gave you the gift of music through our TommyFest Organization and found you the perfect instrument through this wonderful nonprofit organization she began.
Some of you may know by now that we are dangerously close to losing the octagon on NJ’s Pikes Falls property where we hold the TommyFest Music Festival each July. The TommyFest instruments and personal belongings were safely moved out during the storm and now lies the task of moving the octagon and building up support on the river’s bank.  We’re still not exactly sure what this will entail, but it will surely be costly and I will keep you updated as we move forward.
One thing I’ve learned from this lady is a little bit can go a long way whether your helping someone learn music, find a little joy, or trying to help them save a chunk of their life.
Thanks in advance for any help you can spare.
