Help save The Stevenson Pool !

The Stevenson Community Pool is in jeopardy of being closed for ever. This fantastic Community pool has taken a big finial hit due to the Covid Pandemic and a Community still impacted by lack of Forest Funds due to the Spotted Owl. If the pool is drained due to lack of fund sources, the community will loose this valuable community resource for ever. It will not be able to be refilled and used again. Please donate now to save the pool for use after the Pandemic. The healthy survival of our community is dependent.
The Stevenson pool is owned by the Stevenson-Carson School District, but has been operated in cooperation with the City of Stevenson and Skamania County. As a result of the Pandemic, all agencies are facing significant budget cuts. The CEKC-SPA group is a non-profit charitable organization with the goal to save the pool from closing for ever.
The Stevenson Pool benefits the community in many ways. Presently under excellent management, we have been able to offer swimming lessons, water aerobic classes, and open lap swim. There is a Swim Team. Public swimming is always available. The pool universally benefits families, and all County patrons’ health both physically and mentally. Various social activities are offered for the youth of our community with after school programs, summer camps and movie nights. All these programs and the pool facilities have been shut down as a result of the Pandemic. Causing the loss of $2500 a month in normally received revenues. We had great attendance and activities plans for fundraising. All these plans came to a screaming halt!
Mary Jane Loehrke is organizing this fundraiser for the Stevenson Pool. Donations can be sent via CEKC, the fiscal sponsor for the Stevenson Pool Association. All proceeds benefit the Stevenson Pool!
Skamania Klickitat Community Network is a non-profit incorporated in the State of Washington. Since 1996 our work has focused on connecting our rural communities with resources and services in order to strengthen and support resilience in families and reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences.
