Save dogs from Korean Dog Meat Farm

Donation protected
There are more than 17,000 dog meat farms in South Korea.  These dogs endure unspeakable cruelty including being boiled alive.  The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin has an opportunity to be a part of shutting down one of these farms and saving the dogs there.

On December 4, a planeload of dogs will arrive at the Waukesha airport and the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin will be taking in 10 of these dogs.  Generally speaking, the breeds from these dog meat farms vary from mastiff to jindo pups.  There are a few greyhounds, retriever mixes, etc.. There seems to be little rhyme or reason as to what ends up in the dog meat farms.  They only thing they all have in common is that in most cases they are doomed to cramped and dirty living conditions until they are killed.  It is a rare that a dog can survive there beyond 2 years old and yet in this group we will receive there is a very sweet 5 year old girl.  We cannot even imagine what she has seen….it hurts the heart.

The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin will be taking in and caring for these dogs and will immediately begin working to find them new homes here in Wisconsin.  The costs associated with our efforts on this project must be privately fundraised and that's where we're hoping you come in.  It will cost us about $250 or more per dog to get them happy, healthy and home.  Can you contribute to this project?
