Save Cowboy: Service Dog Attacked by Pitbull
Donation protected
I am raising money for emergency surgeries for my disabled mother's service dog.
Yesterday afternoon, Nov 29th, my disabled mother's sweet service dog, Cowboy, was attacked by a loose pitbull that came into the truck, ripped him out of the vehicle by his face, and continued to shake and attack Cowboy. My mother, being alone, tried to get him off but couldn't get the dog to let go. Cowboy suffered a dislocated jaw that has been split down the middle and broken into three pieces, a laceration across the entire right side of his body, a dislocated leg, and puncture holes across his head, body, and legs. He's the sweetest and most calm dog ever, so it kills her to see him suffer like this. My mother is on disability and can't afford to pay for everything at the moment that needs to be done to put him back together, and the owner has no money for damages. We can't let him sit broken like this past Tuesday/Wednesday, so she is asking for any help anyone can spare so we can save him. The vet says it will be somewhere between $2500-3500 for all the procedures, meds, etc., and she just threw her last $400 into the emergency visit. Any help is greatly appreciated! This dog is her life!
