Please help....Cayetano Amato lost everything!

Dear Family & Friends,
I’m writing you because our favorite, passionate, charismatic and beautiful soul Cayetano has recently encountered some incredibly challenging life events. Cayetano lives and cares for his mother who has been suffering from dementia for the last couple years. The past few years have been difficult for Cayetano who has been learning to care for this mother who has been slowly deteriorating due to this intense sickness.
Recently, Cayetano’s sister who came to NY to help Cayetano with his mother was run over by an SUV; the vehicle running over her entire torso breaking her ribs & pelvis. Cayetano has been taking care of not only his mother but his sister too, who is still in recovery and undergoing major physical therapy.
And then this morning at 1am, Cayetano and his mother woke up to smoke alarms because his neighbor left an incense burning which caused a smoldering fire in his building. The firefighters broke every window in the building and Cayetano was prompted to haul himself and mother out from the 3rd story window to escape.
Thankfully they were able to get out safely along with their cats, coat, shoes phone and passports. All of the rest of their belongings have been smoke & water damaged. The Red Cross has put him & his mother in a motel until Monday. The owner of the building is a slumlord and hasn’t been present to assist the tenants during this tragedy.
Life tests you in so many ways, and people say sometimes it takes tragedy to show the true power of what the human spirit is capable of. I’m asking you all during this holiday season, a time that was at one point not about just about trading stuff amongst each other, but instead working together to help people in need and those that are not as fortunate as ourselves, to contribute in any way that you can.
Cayetano is literally homeless - no amount is too small or big to help Cayetano out of this unfortunate disaster. We want to help him and his mother find a place as soon as possible this holiday season and going forward.
