Save Arra Hostel! Prizren, Kosovo

Hey there, it's Ismail and Ardi !
We're two brothers in our mid-twenties who opened a hostel few years ago in our hometown of Prizren, Kosovo! We both study archaeology and anthropology respectively, consumed by experiencing and reflecting between the cultures that make our world. The idea to open up our hostel came naturally considering our spirit of nurturing everyone who has a story to tell :)  

The hostel is idyllically placed on the slope of the fortress with one of the best views of the city,  a vista with sights of the landmark mosques & churches, and the center being only a few minute walk away. We built it inside of a traditional house in the characteristic historical neighborhood dating back to the 13th Century.
We personally engage with every beloved guest that has ever come to stay, sharing the experience of being a local, whether by food, film, music, or homegrown activities. We have had a beautiful journey which wouldn't be possible without every single guest that payed us a visit once (or several times:))
As we see the world and our people struggling with the global pandemic, many small and family owned businesses were hit hard, especially due to the drop in tourism, making it impossible to sustain themselves through the lockdown. With the damage done already, we cannot sustain ourselves for much longer. Additionally, there is no help seen in the horizon  from the government for the affected business in Kosovo.

That is why we are opening up a crowdfunding page to help us out in these strange times for the whole world. We invite people of goodwill to help us continue the journey we started and the beautiful people that made the place how it is today! In return, anyone who would help us out would be more than welcome to visit us again to experience this lovely place (whenever it is available for them) with our arms wide open!<3
